Probably because both have 'Connect automatically when this network is available' ticked under the General tab. You'll need to untick and save 2.4ghz.

Hi, I have a RealTek d723 wireless card that gives me the option of selecting 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz connection. I have switched to 5 ghz and saved the setting but each time i log on it switches back to 2.4 ghz.  Is there any way to keep it at 5 ghz?
