lol, that can happen.. some odd setting you dont see at first or some weird bug. Glad it working for ya now. I'd hate to type something every boot like that lol.

A ha! Here's where my post went. I thought the forum ate it.

I went back into the wifi adapter settings and enabled autoconnect for all users. Had to give an admin password to make the change. On reboot now, both the Keyring dialog and the need to manually connect wifi are gone. It's entirely automatic. Not sure if my change made the difference or what, but it's working.

Thanks!
Paul
(really liking LL)

Might need a keyring manager to start. You can use the gnome services by going to Menu > Settings > Session and Startup And check Launch GNOME services on startup.

I just ran an install of 2.4 x86 on a Compaq F750, a Vista-era machine. Everything seems very nice, except for some networking weirdness.

As soon as I configured the wifi card, LL prompted me for a Keyring password. This was odd, because I wasn't setting up a network share. I've never run across this before. And as I suspected, every time I boot the keyring password is required, according to the ubuntu(?) bug.

There's a second problem too. The wifi adapter is set to autoconnect, but it doesn't. I have to connect it manually at each boot. Networking is turned on, and the wifi network's credentials are remembered, but connection is not automatic.
