Sorry missed this. LL uses network manager. Use the deb wakeonlan package on your client and set for magic packet sending with nm-connection editor. Perhaps the link below will be of some help to you.

hi guys i try to active a wake onlan with last  version of S.O.  but not  work , i activate  a wakeonlan in bios  , and  after i have installed a wakeonlan software in linux  but  when run ethols  return this
