Poor performance with this dongle,  Edimax Technology Co., Ltd EW-7811Un 802.11n Wireless Adapter [Realtek RTL8188CUS] on lite 4.0.  On Lite 2.0 through 3.8, after
git clone https://github.com/pvaret/rtl8192cu-fixes.git  it worked flawlessy, still does on 16.04.  On lite 4 it's a no go.  It works, but maxes out around 10mb.  iwconfig gives me this.Mode:Managed  Frequency:2.412 GHz  Access Point: 00:1D:D1:33:F8:90 Bit Rate=7.2 Mb/s   Tx-Power=20 dBm Retry short limit:7   RTS thr=2347 B   Fragment thr:off Power Management:off Link Quality=64/70  Signal level=-46 dBm Rx invalid nwid:0  Rx invalid crypt:0  Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0  Invalid misc:3164   Missed beacon:0
