Title: TP Link Archer T4U Driver Install Help
Post by: Naxen on May 25, 2018, 01:22:02 PM
Hi, I'm trying to install drivers for my TP Link USB Wifi adapter and was wondering if any of you had any documents relating to installing it or commands I can run in the terminal. I am very new to Linux Lite and have no clue what I'm doing. Thank you!

Hi,

If you can get wour wired network card to work. You could try checking if there is one available in the the "Drivers Manager" from the menu. It will scan your hardware and check for updated drivers. From a search it seems to be using a Realtek RTL8812 chip. Realtek chip are quite common so theres a good chance there and it will install easily.

I also fould drivers here :

But, this seems a little more "hardcore" ;)

Good luck!

Yes, I've done similar with my Alfa Networks dongle (USB with two vertical antennas). It uses the RTL8812au DKMS driver.
