That did it, thanks.  I saw a few how-to's like that out there, but thought there must be an easier couple-click-method that I was missing.  I hope that's understandable for someone who's used windows for ages!

Newbie question here.  I've installed the samba gui via the package manager and have designated a folder to share from pc 1 on my home network.  How do I find this shared folder from pc 2?  Each pc has one user configured.  Thanks.
