Title: how to set network proxy(manual ) for system

Hello everyone ! I am new to linuxlite os .
I wanted to update the system .But my network system is behind proxy . I do not know how to set proxy for whole system .
please guide me ,Thank you.

Hello santanu behera,

Welcome to the forum :)

If you can access the internet using your system then you should be able to update using Menu>Favorites>Install Updates

Hold down Ctrl and Alt Keys then press t key, to open your terminal
Copy/paste or type into terminal
Code: [Select]
netstat -ie
Press enter.

For eth0 or pxxxx (etc)
If line #4 says UP, and line #5 and #6 say 0 errors and 0 dropped you should be good to go.

Actually, my pc is connected to the internet. But the Linux lite's network setting does not have a manual proxy configuration.
So, how can I set the proxy ? please explain ...
