Wifi quit working. Have tried for hours to get it back. Not able to change setting "Enable Wi-Fi" when trying to check the box it does not check.
Not sure if my laptop has a physical wifi switch or not. Have tried to get some information about the switch without success.
I deleted all the saved wifi network connections in hopes that after rebooting the laptop i would have the oppertunity to reconnect, however No wifi network shows as available.
All my other devices work ok on wifi.
lenovo laptop 3000 n 100
Version: Linux 5.4.0-80Distribution: Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
Your help will be greatly appreciated!

I ran the command but did not notice any changes.
After running sudo modprobe iwl3945 should there be any indication in the terminal that something has taken place?

I'm willing to try something else to see if we can get the wifi working again.

Jerry, so sorry to bother you. The laptop had a wifi switch right in front of me.
Good thing it wasn't a rattle snake, it would have bit me.
Jerry,Thank you very much for helping me!

The rfkill command would show you that WiFi utilizes a hardware switch.
