Firewall settings - where are these located in LL 2.0?

I've understood then from you that I don't need to bother switching the firewall on a a personal laptop user. That make's things easier!
I thought it would have added an extra layer of protection against any potential attacks by malware or viruses as in MS Windows?

Jerry:
Also remember that most routers these days have a firewall built in, based off linux. Software and hardware firewalls are generally only needed in servers and datacenters.
Scott:
Hi m654321,
The firewall is built into the kernel, please see this topic.

m654321:
I've been hit by malware (partner18mydomainadvisor), which has prompted me to check if the firewall is switched on, but after a search on LL2 I was unable to find it. Where is it and how can I switch it on and it will stay on upon reboot.
Many thanks for any help.
Regards
Mike
