BT Broadband taboo

(1/1)

DLX:
I have a look tomorrow at settings.
My phone would pick that up when router down.

Looking at log on my one just showed firmware updates. If your having problem with router not a Linux problem rase a call on BT website UK they send out a new router. I had two of them.

Now I got a thomson no down time so far better wifi had about two weeks now.

I did sit facing hub and it did flashed when rebooting and had four to five lost connection a day.

The support on BT is terrible. When I phoned one time I was told the router in Orange status should be like that should only Orange no other colours.

Bit off the point.

Hi,

Yes I do have Home Hub 5 and you're right it just seems to keep falling over of late. Had it a few months and it ran without problems but now it seems to just drop out sporadically.

As a matter of interest, I usually sit facing the hub when I'm on line so I can see when the middle blue light starts blinking orange. However, even when that does not noticeably happen, I've still experienced it defaulting to Fon.

Re:- "Instead of edit try remove then setup again. Better to clear settings."
, I'm not too sure I understand what you mean by that. Could you expand a little on it, please.

Not much help.

BT Wi-fi-with-FON
I'm also with BT when I pick up BT Wi-fi-with-FON my router is rebooting or having a moment!

Do you have home hub 5 ?

Instead of edit try remove then setup again. Better to clear settings.

I just replaced my HH5 as I had endless dropouts.

I'm a subscriber to BT Broadband Unlimited andI've had the oddest problem over the past couple of weeks.  Every time I launch my browser (any browser) I get connected to BT Wi-fi-with-FON instead of directly through my normal router connection. Even when I try to change it manually via the task bar icon it stubbornly resists - sometimes many times.

Funny thing is that I have no such problem with my tablet nor does my son with his Windows (excuse the foul language) machine. Only on my laptop with LL.

Any ideas how on to fix this, folks?

pelouk.
