Trying my hand at making some wallpapers. Played around with the feather a bit and thought it would look great with the diffused mountains in the background. Peaceful looking I think. Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the original mountain photo. I couldn't track down the creator using reverse image search so I'll call it fair game unless told otherwise. ;)
Edit: Changed the hosting location to Dropbox since imgur was compressing them a lot. They may take a while to download if you have a slow connection. Also feel free to download the editable Gimp file here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/r9hp9k3pl976g0n/AADIDzxvWWVH04OX682FL07aa?lst

Nice work .

Thanks. Unfortunately the images looks really compressed on imgur even though the png on my computer looks fine.

Have you tried Tiny Pic (http://tinypic.com/) ?
I like the first one the most, the shade to the mountains looks lovely.
Did you add the wind to the feather ?
This is really nice, it would make a good feather on official LL wallpapers, as it shows the lightness and life of the OS well.

I think I've tried that before. Actually I'm uploading them to Dropbox now so it'll be the original files including the editable Gimp version.
I did add the wind to the feather. :)
Glad you like it! I also like the purple version as well.

All set. If you downloaded one of the wallpapers already, please download a new one...much better quality. Also feel free to download the Gimp .xcf file (see link in my original post) as well and tweak the image if you like.

No problem .
