Title: LITE is...?....hmmm...GO.....
Post by: rbdflyboy on October 12, 2014, 09:57:05 PM
    GOLDEN

This font is called "Medusa", and is now my favorite of the Gothics contained in my font listing. There were numerous failed attempts with this one before finally producing something that may be worth presenting.

Lovely work, rbdflyboy :)

BTW Rob, I always took the feather symbol as meaning  "lite as a feather" in that case the feather would be falling and rbdflyboy has it right. But if it is meant to represent a quill then ...

Thank you, N4RPS, Alex, Scott(0)

The "feather" as my interpretation is "light as". Only that isn't quite the reason for its placement as such. The feather placement has a secondary function, the while part can be seen as a dash between the two. In other words a transition from big brother Linux to little brother Lite. Both strong in each their own right.
This is useful feedback. Some other time will use a feather with the quill pointed down at the end of the line to represent an exclamation!

Hello rbdflyboy,

very nice work, the gold matches LL quality and how you have positioned the feather shows great movement that it is lite, the movement then matches the flowing form of the text.

As always with your work it is really well thought out, showing great depth and skill in encouraging discussion/allowing various viewer interpretations.
