@Jerry could it work with a different hotkey.
Some combination like use CTRL+F to find the word and CTRL+D to find the next instances of that word, maybe could they be coded into a clickable image/button that when clicked perform the action etc. Or mapped to a suitable hotkey.
Also it can be done map one image with up/down, or first, next, last using coordinates mapping of image etc. So the image is tidy and not many individual ones etc.

@bitsnpcs I don't think you can do that with html. Tabbing only works on hyperlinks.

It is looking very nice @Jerry  :)
Would it help implementation to highlight the first instance of the searched term, then use a key like tab key, and each tap it jumps to the next instance on the results page/s, and highlights that instance.
LibreOffice spell check highlights 1 at a time like this as each instance is jumped to, that open code may be able to be adapted if it is suitable and helps with progress on the manual.

The search function will save a significant amount of  time  :)
Very useful & many thanks Jerry
64bit OS (32-bit on Samsung netbook) installed in Legacy mode on MBR-formatted SSDs (except pi which uses a micro SDHC card):
2017 - Raspberry pi 3B (4cores) ~ [email protected] - LibreElec, used for upgrading our Samsung TV (excellent for the task)
2012 - Lenovo G580 2689 (2cores; 4threads] ~ [email protected] - LL3.8/Win8.1 dual-boot (LL working smoothly)
2011 - Samsung NP-N145 Plus (1core; 2threads) ~ Intel Atom [email protected] - LL 3.8 32-bit (64-bit too 'laggy')
2008 - Asus X71Q (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6/Win8.1 dual-boot, LL works fine with kernel 4.15
2007 - Dell Latitude D630 (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6, works well with kernel 4.4; 4.15 doesn't work

Progress is slow, but I'm really happy with some of the new features for the offline version. Working with 2 devs on this one now.
Newest feature I'm hoping to include is once you've clicked on a search result, it will highlight every word on that page, and automatically scroll to the first instance of that word.
eg. searching for the word 'nvidia' produces:

Still working on the offline search results. Working with the dev of the offline search tool to refine it a bit more:

The online Help Manual is now search-able.

https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/

There has been a ton of work on this behind the scenes, and I can say I'm pretty happy with the end result.

The best way to search for results is to use one word, using phrases will not be as effective as a one word search.

Example:

If I search for the word ext4

which returns:

If I search using the phrase how do I format using ext4

which returns:

Phrases do work, but they have to match exactly what is written in the Help Manual eg.

dual boot with Linux Lite

which returns:

There is no search-able offline system. This is not being ruled out yet.

Please help spread the word about this, and remember to mention it in Support threads.

Let me know how it all goes. I hope you all get something out of using it :)
