There should be at least 5 -6 choices for each category.

Yes, nothing changes other than software that's missing from Menu compared to standard LL. Lite Update has already been removed (see tray in above gif) Whisker Menu adds a lot of ram and the whole idea of 'core' is to remove anything that is NOT required and simplify everything else to it's 'core'

Will live mode be available too? I like it, I don't know the rest, but I think it is a good idea :045:. It gives users more freedom of choice when it comes to the software they want to install and use in their OS.  Two suggestions only: add whisker menu, and disable lite update to auto-start at boot. :)

Jerry:
I am seriously considering doing this. Stripped down version of Lite where the user gets to choose:

Web browser
Email client
Firewall
Office Suite
Partitioner
PDF viewer
Media player
Photo editor
Photo manager
Scan software
Back up software
etc

Base files and drivers will stay intact as per usual - to ensure wide hardware compatibility.
Start up and shutdown as you could imagine are ridiculously quick.

Should I do this? Main Linux Lite release will remain unchanged.
