Sorry for my bad English... Intel NUC DN2820FYKH0. LL 2.4 - 2.6 Beta all OK with default kernel 3.13, but with 4.1.1 & 4.2 in my case there are problems with Restart & Shutdown. May be clear installation & kernel update helps, but I am dont tested. I am wait LL 2.6 Release. :-))

4.2 Linux Lite Kernel is now available for 32 & 64bit machines.

Open a terminal and do:

Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install linux-headers-linuxlite-4.2.0 linux-image-linuxlite-4.2.0 -y
Ignore any errors in the terminal.

Look forward to your feedback. Thank you.

I tried sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer b43-fwcutter

but got:

b43-fwcutter is already the newest version.
firmware-b43-installer is already the newest version.

Try

Code: [Select]
dmesg | grep firmware
If it is missing the Broadcom firmware. Hopefully dmesg will say so.

example from my rig

Code: [Select]

Have had a second go at kernel 4.1.1 and solved most of my problems  by fixing the nvidia driver problem.
I needed to install bumblebee so I could chose 252.30 in prime rather than nouveau drivers.

All seems well now apart from the Wifi not working as the broadcom driver which is installed ( and working on other kernels) isn't seen...

I have followed the advice given here and rolled back to
3.13.0-57.

I went into that kernel from the boot screen instead of 4.1.1, then  used Lite Tweaks to remove 4.1.1 then did
sudo update-grub

I don't know if this is an approved method but it seems to have worked.

And why did you need xorg-edgers? if it's an older machine your no doubt better off with an older kernel. save for some bug in a version of something you need/want. Using ppa's (even semi offical ones) can be dangerous.

I use xorg-edgers to get the latest Nvidia drivers.
