Safe to ignore rokytnji. You can even go into Synaptic and remove everything VirtualBox if you don't use it, will also get rid of those errors in future kernel releases, as well as speeding up start-up and shutdown slightly. VirtualBox will always error on new kernels.

For the Keyring asking I propose to invoce it with Installers and fileshareing packages. Not with wifi and other connection possibilites. Is that doable?

15  libgnome2-bin will be removed

29.1MB of space removed. 17 packages.

Not really worth removing IMO for a kernel error. But posting info in case some one is more  about keeping
things tidy in their  install than I am. I am going to leave mine be. Above readout is from remove
package. Not the completely remove package option in menu.

virtualbox-guest-dkms will be removed
virtualbox-guest-utils will be removed
virtualbox-guest-x11 will be removed

will be removed which frees up about another 11MB of space on my hard drive. Still not enough for me to bother with it.
A kernel image and header install takes up more space than that. Startup speeds are not a thing for me also.
I am loosey goosey like that.

I have  NVidia card  [HDA NVidia], device 7: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]    my computer is connected to a projector I  get better video quality after changing the kernel and the picture is  clearer easier to read text etc. but if I use the recommended Nividia driver the fonts and symbols  on the desktop get so tiny that they become unusable so I stick to the XorgX driver

I checked that video card better its actually    NVIDIA Corporation GT216 [GeForce GT 220] (rev a2) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

I have no idea if this makes any difference,only hope I can help a little. Thanks for all the hard work!

4.0 Linux Lite kernel is now available for 32 & 64bit machines.

Open a terminal and do:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install linux-headers-linuxlite-4.0.0 linux-image-linuxlite-4.0.0 -y
Ignore any errors in the terminal.

Installed Kernel 4.0 on Toshiba A10 ( as per profile below) and deleted 3.13 using "Tweaks".  All running smoothly and fast .  Loads of life in the old "girl" yet;  The Toshiba that is , not my better half

I had a suspend problems on all kernels I ever tried. On my ASUS F5VL laptop.

I tried these 3.15.0 and 4.0.0. kernels. No luck. I reverted back to the default Lite 2.4 kernel.

My laptop automatically wakes from the suspend. So I have to type in:

echo USB > /proc/acpi/wakeup
echo USB2 > /proc/acpi/wakeup

Then it stays suspended. BUT! When I resume from suspend, the suspend no longer works and I have a excesive CPU usage, around 45-100% "kworker" process is eating the CPU, and some another "K" process... I hoped it would be fixed in linux 4.0.0. :/

That's something you guys probably can't fix, right?

Anyway, kernel 3.15.0 always gave me a TSC calibration failed, and my Wi-Fi didn't work.

By the way, what does this mean? This should NOT be tested on your everyday machine unless you know how to remove the kernel from a tty.

I removed the kernels over Lite Tweaks (btw it always gave me "error: KERNELS", is that normal?), is there something else I should do to revert my system to original state before I installed these kernels? I don't know what "tty" is...

Is it normal on a GNU/Linux to have a glitchy suspend? Or is it just my laptop? I tried many distros, all had the same problem. How it works for you all?

By the way, what does this mean? This should NOT be tested on your everyday machine unless you know how to remove the kernel from a tty.

It means you shouldn't use these kernels unless you know how to get out of a tight spot if the sh#t hits the fan. This is why we put that warning in. Unless you need a specific kernel for a specific reason, the stock kernel that ships with LL should be fine for most peoples needs. New kernels are only useful if you have brand new hardware or are using for example a new file system like btrfs, or you're waiting on a specific patch etc etc. Cheers.

And I just install them in case they speed up features and supply security fixes.
Some kernels boot faster and use less ram than others.

But I am not shy when it comes to testing kernels. I always keep a good backup.
