I just installed LL on my system and i can't figure out how to connect to the internet. The WIFI icon in panel beside the time/date & volume is not visible. Checked my internet setting and i still can't figure out how to fix the problem.

It seems that you have the "Tray Icons"  problem. This is from the XFCE DE.
Look at this, then come back with the results:

What version of Linux Lite please ?
Did the network work when doing the install ?

You would normally check this when testing the live media (before the install) or when doing updates as part of the install or immediately after installation.

To look for the network interface, please open a terminal, run this command, then post the result.
