I have been a linux user for several years..probably 10.. it sure has come along way.. like most..im disgusted with windows..finally had to remove the dual boot..just couldnt even tolerate win 7 anymore..much less 10. So ive used mint LMDE 2 for years.. outstanding and rock solid.. then came 3.. UGLY SLOW.. had to bail.. tried about 10 lightweight distros.. YUCK.. then I FOUND LINUX LITE.. DAM..THIS THING IS AWESOME...(4.2)... needs a few fixes..but NICE... THEN..TRIED 4.6.. It was OK..UNTIL THE UPDATE...UGHHHHHH..... WHAT ARE YOU DOING 
THE FIRST THING IT DID WAS WRECK MY DESKTOP..AND INSTALL SOME UTTERLY GARBAGE VERSION OF WHAT SOMEONE THOUGHT WOULD BE " BETTER" ... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!! IN FACT..SO ANNOYING..SO BAD..IVE GONE BACK TO 4.2..AND GOING TO STAY THERE ...JUST NOW REINSTALLED IT... OH...SWEET HAPPINESS AGAIN...
FROM NOW ON...HOW ABOUT YOU ASK US BEFORE JACKING UP OUR DESKTOPS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started using Linux about 15 years ago.
I have been using Linux Lite for about 6 months.
Before that, I used MX Linux, Peppermint, and Xubuntu.
Before that, I have tried nearly all of the more popular Linux Distros.
I really liked MX Linux, Peppermint, and Xubuntu, in that order.
But now that I have been using LL for nearly half a year,
my opinion is that it is a superbly put together Linux distro,
not only for the new Linux user, but for seasoned Linux users as well.
I usually keep my opinions to myself, but posts like this really tick me off.
This is to Ghostmaker77; how in the world can you be so ungrateful as to
make a comment such as this. Linux Lite is FREE, do you not understand that !
When posters like you run down Linux Lite and make such insulting comments
to Jerry, I wish Jerry had some way to just remotely delete LL from your computer !
If you're using LL at all, why not show some appreciation for the selfless
efforts of Jerry and other contributors instead of selfishly and insultingly
complaining about some portion of LL that you don't like and
selfishly and insultingly making derogatory comments to its creator !
If you don't like LL, just stop using it and go to something else !
You sound like the kind of person that if someone gave you a
ten dollar bill, you would cuss them out for not giving you a twenty !
