Welcome to Linux Lite !

I have used Linux Mint as well, In fact i have a dual boot setup. However since I installed Linux Lite i never use it ! LOL

I hope you get what you expect from the OS. Jerry puts great ideas to practical use in Linux Lite, without being to resource hungry.
(I installed Linux Lite on an IBM T40, and it works great ! )

There are lots of posts about how much ram is used etc... just search here in the forums.

ENJOY !

Welcome aboard!

Linux Lite is indeed very compact and lightweight, and works well even on ancient laptops.

Greetings all.  :)

Same with me. I have using Linux since 2006, mostly on live cd distros. I had use Knoppix, SimplyMepis, BlankOn, PCLinux, Ubuntu.

I just recently found Linux Lite and was instantly falling in love. It is THE BEST Linux alternative to Windows to date. As a Windows user I'm greatly satisfied. Now it's installed on my two computers and it is the only Linux I'm using.  8)

Hi! My name is Paul aka pense-malin. I started with Linux about 10 years ago with Debian.  I have tried after Fedora, Open Suse, Ubuntu, PCLinusOs and many other smaller ditros.  Right now I am with Linux Mint 18.  I am looking for a smaller distro with speed and stability and ready to used out of the box.
