Just found Linux lite. Have old Toshiba Satellite pro A10 with 2 x 512mb Ram. that needs to keep working!! Trying linuxlite 1.08 as live CD.   Currently running puppy linux precise 5.7.1 frugal on it.

Still fumbling my way around Linux. Currently running Mint 13 on work laptop.

Well worth the learning curve to be free of rampant commercialisation in now what is becoming essential access to information - i.e the internet.  Also the improved security against viruses etc.

Good luck with the linuxlite project for a more straight forward and backwards compatible flavour of linux.
