Thanks to all for kind welcome.

I tried to count all operational systems I met thru all the years... starting with mainframes... then Sinclair Basic on ZX81 as many of you, CP/M, DOS, OS/2, AIX, ...  :)
I like LL flawless installation, very good hardware support, modest requirements of resources and orientation towards former Windows users. No real problem so far.

Hello, j1r1.

Welcome to Linux Lite, and to the LL community.

When it comes to being 'turned off' by the complexity of installing and configuring older incarnations of Linux, I share a similar tale. On many occasions, I would try Linux, only to be frustrated as I tried to get everything working - until Lubuntu came along...

I've tried to give Linux a chance several times already during recent 15 years or so... always repelled by elementary problems soon after installation. Seems that things have changed. Tested several distros and decided for LL as the closest to my taste.

Thanks to development team for sharing the results of all the hard work!

Jiri
