Title: Happy New User in NJ
Post by: rentwist on September 09, 2014, 12:01:36 PM
Goodbye XP!!

Loving LL2.0 so far on am old Latitude laptop, the XP drive has not been back in the drive bay since I gave LL "a try" a few weeks ago!

Looking forward to a new HTPC build which will use the 64 bit version.  Hardware pieces on the way to me in the mail.  AMD A6-6400 and ASRock FM2A88M motherboard, can't wait!

Also been fiddling with Raspberry Pi B+ and various media centers recently.

Hope to get involved with the community.

Regards,

Robert

Hello!

Welcome to Linux Lite.

For me, LL has brought a BUNCH of ancient laptops back from the dead without any problems detecting any hardware or peripherals. You will find that devices like scanners and Bluetooth adapters that quit working from Windows Vista forward now not only work again, but are also detected automatically at boot...
