Title: Hallo Linux-Lite-Forum
Post by: Linuxkumpel on December 30, 2018, 12:37:33 PM
A friendly Hello! My English is already a bit rusty, understand most of the meaning and purpose. I have been using Linux for about 10 years. Currently Manjaro 18.0.1 Xfce, Linux Lite 4.2, Pop! _OS 18.10 Gnome and PeppermintOS 9 on different Note / Netbooks. This time for information.

All a Happy New Year 2019!

Hello Linuxkumpel,
Welcome to the forum  :)
I have been using Linux Lite for about 4.5 years, it is the first Linux I used, but I am free of Windows for just about 1-1.5 years, so soon hope to be moving from newbie to beginner.
This my main desktop has Linux Lite as its OS.
The backup desktop is also Linux Lite as its OS, the backup is 32Bit and so is being retired/replaced soon.
I also now use a netbook I got at Christmas, this is Fedora Workstation, so I can follow a book that uses this.

Thank you for the welcome. Privately I only use Linux, Manjaro Xfce or LL 4.2. Professionally also Linux, Pop! _OS. The other distributions are hobby on old hardware.  ;) Over the years, a lot is accumulating. Too bad to throw away.

New Year greetings
Linuxkumpel

Hello Linuxkumpel, welcome to the LL forums. Have no worries, your English is far better than my long ago high school German or my typing!

I'm new with Linux but you have 10 years experience. That is great to have that much experience. I also tried Manjaro Xfce and KDE before installing LL but for some reason I prefer LL. Just seemed more comfortable to me. I'm sure both are excellent OS's.

Thanks.
