Howdy Douglas! I'm a fellow Texan residing in Houston (or as we Houstonians call it, H-Town!). Enjoy Linux Lite 2.0! You'll love it! Light, Fast and Simple!

Hello!

Welcome to Linux Lite. It's really sad when somethings starts out great, then gets slow and bloated because the developers wanted to add a bunch of 'nice to have' - but unnecessary - extras.

Given the core values of the development team, I don't see that happening here. I especially like the scripts to add extra items that SOME people want but not EVERYONE, saving you from a lot of need to remove things you don't want.

In MY opinion, extras should stay just that - EXTRAS. Keep adding 'em to the scripts...

Greetings all.  My name is Douglas and I have been using Linux for over a decade.  I started with RedHat Linux 8 (before Fedora and RHES).  I have mainly used Debian derivates for many years now, using Arch for spells here and there.  Mint has served me well until recently, the latest version seems kind of slow and freezes sometimes... so I started looking around.  I read several glowing reviews of Lite 2.0, much more polished than 1.0.  So I gave it a try, so far I really like it.  I will stick with it for a while.
