Got tired of Windows and their blessed updates that seem to break stuff.
Been trying different distros for the past 3 weeks going through about 6 different versions, really liked Mint but it seemed so slow on my system. Had high hopes for Puppy Slacko 64 bit because it was fast, but I was having graphic issues that could not be resolved as a newbie linux person.
Tried Lite 3 days ago and it clicked.
Thanks

@Derfdog,
Welcome to the forum. Glad you made it. I think I know what you mean about Puppy. I don't really understand it. I can't imagine using it full time or recommending it to a friend or family member. But lots of folks do like it, and I'm happy when a distro finds its audience.
Hard to believe Mint was slow on your machine. Were you using their KDE version? I like Mint and I'm glad they realize their updates offering can be off-putting for some users. I can just see people I know being worried about installing a level 4 or level 5 update fearing it might hurt their machine. In a recent blog post on the Mint site, they recognize this and are making changes. Things are simpler here with Linux Lite, and therefore easier for me to use and recommend.
