@Jerry ,
I can only see the need for that old software being useful for people who might create a movie, and they need the software to reflect the time period.

May have been advantageous to try LL4.8 over LL.5.2 as per his signature, depending how OLD the hardware is/was and what else was installed.

Good luck thou - as mentioned you can delete your account - but what if MX slows to crawl in a couple months??? We'll be here
LL4.8 UEFI 64 bit ASUS E402W - AMD E2 (Quad) 1.5Ghz  - 4GB - AMD Mullins Radeon R2
LL5.8 UEFI 64 bit Test UEFI Kangaroo (Mobile Desktop) - Atom X5-Z8500 1.44Ghz - 2GB - Intel HD Graphics
LL4.8 64 bit HP 6005- AMD Phenom II X2 - 8GB - AMD/ATI RS880 (HD4200)
LL3.8 32 bit Dell Inspiron Mini - Atom N270 1.6Ghz - 1GB - Intel Mobile 945GSE Express  -- Shelved
BACK LL5.8 64 bit Dell Optiplex 160 (Thin) - Atom 230 1.6Ghz - 4GB-SiS 771/671 PCIE VGA - Print Server
Running Linux Lite since LL2.2

@Jerry  Is the code input right to left? The older I get, which is really old now, the more I find myself moving from the left toward the right.

I'm leaving folks, Linux Lite is a neat distro for sure but it's giving me to much problems on the old box and runs too slow.
Very often it freezes the system and only option is witch off and back on to solve it.
Too bad, wishing you all the best I'm now running MX Linux which runs without any problems at all.
(ps my account can be deleted!)

Hi all, just installed Linux Lite on one of the older boxes around here.
Other boxes run Zorin and Mint Mate which is my primary pc.
Since I wanted to escape Ubuntu due to their Snap intro I tried on this old box Debian, Sparky, Open BSD but all gave me problems which I needed to solve manually.
Since I don't want to fix everything under the hood anymore (spoiled with Mint) I decided to give Lite a try.
Last option was Mint XFCE but I like Lite so it will stay  ;)
Hope to find interesting ideas again and probably some help if I want the easy way out.

Gr,

Erwin
