Title: VMware Horizon View
Post by: Chris Andes on June 05, 2014, 11:41:34 AM
Newbie here.  Anyone have experience with VDI (Virtual Desktop)?  We use VMware Horizon View at work.  I would like to work from home on Linux Lite machine.  I could not find a Linux version of Horizon View.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

No idea myself.  Have a look through search results here:  VMware Horizon View (https://www.google.com/cse?cx=017607476515012185699%3Ab_owgx6xyi0&ie=UTF-8&q=VMware+Horizon+View&sa=Search&siteurl=www.google.com%2Fcse%2Fhome%3Fcx%3D017607476515012185699%3Ab_owgx6xyi0&ref=&ss=&oq=&gs_l=#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=VMware%20Horizon%20View&gsc.page=1).

First one looks to provide solution, but I can't comment on whether or not it really works.

I found it today in the synpatic package manager. I searched VMware and I installed it. It seemed to work. When I logged in I couldn't connect to my desktop though. Almost there!
