Title: Updating connection timed out?
Post by: johnb on July 12, 2016, 06:02:57 AM
Have not had any problems updating Linux-Lite 3 until this morning. I tried to update LL3 from the command line and when it reached this line: repo.linuxlite.com:80 (142.54.171.138) the connection timed out. It also displayed this message, some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Hello, Jerry.

UPDATE from Host: "We are aware of the situation and are working as quickly as possible to get this resolved and services back online"

THAT'S what they ALWAYS say!

Translation: We know SOMETHING'S up. We're just not sure WHAT yet. When we figure it out, we'll fix it, but we'll never tell YOU what was wrong, or what we did to fix it...
