also have a copy of winrar i want to install...
For WinRAR do you just want the ability to open (unrar) a RAR file or do you actually want to install the Windows version of this software in linux?

The ability to unrar a file is available by default. See "Creating and Extracting Zip files" in the LL user manual here https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/software.html#archive.

Hi Dakota.

For Peazip it was much easier to install using the deb package. Go to the download site here
http://peazip.sourceforge.net/peazip-linux.html and download the GTK2/DEB package.

Now just right click on the file you downloaded peazip_5.3.1.LINUX.GTK2-2_i386.deb and choose "open with GDebi Package installer."

Let me know if this works. I'm not 100% sure what will happen if the computer isn't online (I think GDebi will look for dependencies) but I'm pretty sure it will install.
