the shortest way I know of is -
on the Keyboard click Prt Scrn, then on the gui that appears click OK, OK, Save
This will take a screenshot and save it with the default name.
What I do is this though -
Right click on the desktop and a Menu appears.From this Menu select "Screenshot".
On the screenshot window there are some options
Region to capture -
entire screen - captures the entire screen
Active window - captures the window that is active/open, if more than one are open click inside the one you want to capture to make it the active window.
Select a region - select a part to screenshot.
capture the mouse pointer. - sometimes I tick this so I can point to something on the screenshot usign the mouse cursor and it saves this on the sceenshot.
On the right side of the gui you can select a time delay. - I set this to 5 seconds, this give time to open a menu if I want to screenshot this, or point with the mouse cursor.
The settings you choose will remain the next time and do not need setting again, unless you wanted to change them.
Click OK.
On the next window you are choosing where to save your screenshot - I leave this as "Save"
Final window you are choosing the filename for the screenshot, or you can leave the automatically completed filename and just click OK
