how to create a bootable USB stick , help me I'm trying to migrate to Linux Lite 3.0, but I'm not managing to mount the image on the USB stick

Welcome to Linux Lite and the community!
Beside having a look at the help manual you might want to check out Etcher (https://www.etcher.io/) to create an USB stick the easiest way.

Etcher is da bomb...

I use UNetbootin. You can download it from Sourceforge or it's home page. After you download copy it to your USB Stick. Make sure you have room for it and whatever else you will be putting on the stick. After the download open Unetbootin and follow directions.

I use it within my XP VM to create bootable USB sticks.
