I don't have any idea on how to get it working, but I did find some information about maliit at the following link.

What errors do you get when you run it in terminal?
LL 3.6,2.8
Dell XT2 > Touchscreen Laptop
Dell 755 > Desktop

In my search for an on screen keyboard for my Windpad 110w I came across the Maliit osk in Synaptic. After installation it does not appear in the Menu as would an installation of OnBoard.How do I go about enabling Maliit as I would like to give it a try.
