Try a different mirror other than archive.ubuntu.mirror.rafal.ca eg. Try the default US one.

Thx, told ya I am new to this.

I tried the PSR in Lite Tweaks, got this: 
Lite Tweaks - Error
An error occurred while fetching packages lists.

Would you like to review the logs?
Said 'yes' and the log was empty.
Redid the PSR in Lite Tweaks and same error, but got this log:

Run Package System Repair in Lite Tweaks. This is not due to nVidia, the log you've copied from Lite Updates is an update problem. If you are also having trouble with nVidia, please open a new support thread under Hardware > Video Cards.

Hi, newbie here....

Without NVIDIA installed, my laptop will not view videos with VLC. I install the NVIDIA ver.340 driver, then I can view videos but have hashsum errors whenever I do updates and A LOT of system crashes... So I go back to the original driver.
This last time I installed the NVIDIA driver, things seemed better (after the latest config file update), but now when I do a "Install Updates" I get the following
