Apologies for causing a stir, I can now confirm that Lite Software behaves as it should, installed programs are indeed moved to the 'Remove Software' side. It would make more sense to me to have everything in one windows though, where all programs are either marked as installed or not, and can be selected for installation or removal...my personal opinion.

The reason they are into separated windows is to ensure no mistakes are made during selection for either remove or installation.
Moved to Software section.

Hi! :)

Evert...
I've also installed Audacity, Telegram, Zoom, Etcher, HandBrake, SSR (SimpleScreenRecorder) and WINE ( and before LL 6.0, Chrome) from Lite Software and they have all gone from the 'Install Software' list and  appear in the 'Remove Software' sections as expected.
Further more: I have launchers for many programs so after setup, I test them all, just in case. I never had trouble, except if I had the programs installed via Synaptic or APT (CLI sequence). In those cases, I remember this weird behaviour appeared. Otherwise, everything went as expected.
In any case, a test for the existence of the Apps, is helpful. Did you test all installed apps? From the Menu? Or from the Desktop Menu?
SteveF, installed OK. I installed OK. You should remove the [BUG] label from the topic.
If it were a bug, we were supposed to experience the same behaviour.
I guess reinstalling the software AFTER checking the "broken package" status, will help. At least, this is what I do if things go sideways.
Good luck! :)

Best regards! :)

Can you give an example of an application showing this behaviour and where exactly you see the status of 'Not Installed' ?

I've installed Audacity, Etcher, Filezilla, OBS and Keepass from Lite Software and they have all gone from the 'Install Software' list and  appear in the 'Remove Software' sections as expected.

Hi,

I have been running Linux Lite 6.0 for some time now and love it. I have installed additional programs using the Lite Software app, but it shows 'Not installed' as the status for everything I installed. This must be a bug.

Keep up the good work :045:
