Title: Lite Desktop Widget alignment
Post by: Peejay on April 15, 2017, 07:03:29 PM
My preferred desktop appearance includes a right side vertical panel but I need a width of about 40 pixels. I also like the Desktop Widget but cannot see a way to change its alignment so as a result part of its output is hidden behind the panel. Is it possible to move the Widget I wonder? ;)

Open your home folder, press Ctrl+H to show hidden files. Go into .conky, open widget with your text editor. Look for:

gap_x 25
gap_y 65

and adjust to suit.

I adjusted the widget by installing Conky Manager using Synaptic and fiddled with it until I got it the way I wanted it.  ;D

@Jerry Many thanks for the reply - so simple when you know how! All now sorted and the widget and the panel can now be viewed simultaneously. 8)
@Coastie Thank you too for your help. Much appreciated but on this occasion at it was very easy to adjust the widget file, once I knew it existed. :)

Yesterday I install Linux Lite 4.0, it is grat. I start Lite Widget, it is very useful for me, but when i try to change its alignment I cannot see  .conky folder in my home folder. I press  Ctrl+H  to see hidden folder first. In previous version 3.8, .conky folder is there without installing Conky Manager. What can I do?
Thank you
