Title: Linux Lite 4.2 Update repositories problem
Post by: Walter Lamia on January 13, 2019, 02:47:22 PM
I installed LL 4.2 recently from ISO. I am having problems with Install Updates repositories. Here is the error log. What I think I need is a list of the correct repository sources.

Was having similar problems (among others) after going from 3.8 to 4.2 - this helped, I now have florence back, which I desperately need.

The other thing I needed was tor-browser , but with some research and fooling around with synaptic, I guess it is now tor-web-browser , and problem solved.  Thanks for the hard work, Jerry!

I have had problems in the past which involved the DVD hanging and not ejecting properly after installation thus causing the OS to default to live mode (though I pin removed the hung DVD and hard shutdown) on boot because of uncleared caches. With LL I just reinstalled the lite updater package and the problem solved itself. DVD ejction after install is an old lingering bug that affects a few (not many) older machines. This looks like that problem. Perhaps a caution warning to wait for the DVD to process completely when selecting reboot after new install. This happens often with Debian disk sets too, so it didn't surprise me, but a caution note to be patient might be sensible.
