Title: Language Folder names in thunar
Post by: Snubbi on December 05, 2014, 05:10:45 PM
I would like the folder names in Thuner too be in Danish. I know that I can right click on them and rename them. But there is a package I can install to get folder names in Danish

I believe I've read about this issue in a past post. Hopefully it will be corrected at some point, in the meantime does manually renaming the folders cause any issues?

Thatīs  right Scott, but the best would be that it can be solved in the right way. I hope that you find something Scott about the subject. I have tried to search for this problem without solution :'(

Try this:

Open a terminal and do:

Code: [Select]
xdg-user-dirs-update --force
then log out then in again. You will see 2 sets of each folders, now you have Danish names.
Don't forget to move files from the english folders to the Danish ones.

Then you can delete the english folders.
