I'm also tough, if Mate, then possibly use Ubuntu Mate.  ;)  To the question, Log out, on the login screen would then be an icon (panel or screen), where the current session can be selected or set.

I installed the Mate' desktop environment on LL 4.2, but when I reboot I can't find where to select it to load instead of Xfce. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
