Has anyone tried installing different desktop environments in Linux Lite? Specifically GNOME 3

This distro is a heavily modified version of the XFCE desktop environment. However, being GNU/Linux based allows people the freedom to modify their system as they see fit.
Know what it entails and how to fix should it go sideways...
