Yes, Lite Software is the easier and proper way to go.  It's a front-end to apt-get, but nice 'n' graphical for those of us who are intimidated by the terminal!  :D  Thanks, @Jerry

Chromium should be installed from Lite Software.

Just click on chromium, and the other needed applications will be automatically included!

so I looked again and nothing just says chromium, however I chose the shortest one that said "chromium-browser" and as you said it then chose a few more boxes to tick.

It's installed and seems to run fine when I checked it.  Thanks again, it will be good to have already to go should I run into issues where Firefox acts up I can then check to see if the Chromium browser works.

It was suggested from another thread I posted that I try another browser on a machine that was acting unusually.

While it currently is acting normally I would like to be prepared and have Chromium installed in case Firefox stops working as I may not be able to install at that time.

I have read an earlier post that recommends I do it through Lite software so that flash player works properly, however when I go into the install/remove programs and type chromium in the search bar there are about 10-12 different lines (and their respective boxes) that I can tick - I’m not sure which ones (maybe all?) that I should tick to install.

Is someone able to guide me here?
