Hello!

If you want more than one version of Linux on a Linux Lite PC, it takes either a VM or needs to be set up on a separate partition, to be booted into via GRUB2.

Linux Lite does NOT 'play nice' with different desktop environments that are chosen through the login screen. Simultaneous DEs 'break' Linux Lite to the point where a reinstallation becomes necessary...

Hello V. Narayanan,

here is a guide https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/index.php?topic=388.0

it explains how to add Linux Lite in Virtualbox, you can instead use this method for adding Kali Linux, this would then result in having Linux Lite as your main desktop OS and Kali Linux available to use from this.

Dear All
Kindly tell me how to install Kali Linux Tools in Linux Lite
I tried to add the repo but could not succeed

I am trying to learn and practice system audit
I thought it would make sense to have a proper desktop linux and then install the audit tools which I use very rarely

In Fedora I used to install security lab items in a single command
Can I have such installation mechanism in Linux Lite

Yours
V. Narayanan
