Hi vaikus84,I've not seen anybody on the forum with the Thinkpad T430So I think you may get better help on one of the Thinkpad focused forums.I have a pretty recent HP Laptop ~ TS13, I installed TLP and that was it, never even looked at config options. All I do know based on how it was before TLP, it runs @ 5C ~ 6C cooler, and battery life is @ 40 mins longer.
Hi,I found on this page the note:Incompatible models on which tp smapi generally does not work:T430'shttp://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/TP-SMAPI
tpacpi-bat – Tool for extended battery functions on Sandy Bridge ThinkPads (X220 / T420) and later models
Googling shows a lot on the subjectThis link gives some guidance,BUT of interest there is a note about a problem with Thinkpad Firmware and charging not a TLP issue:http://askubuntu.com/questions/542779/charging-ignores-tlp-settings
A new version of TLP was released recently...Advanced Power Management Tool `TLP` Sees New Releasehttp://www.webupd8.org/2015/02/advanced-power-management-tool-tlp-sees.html
It does not require any further tweaking.
