Right click on the appimage and choose "Make file executable". Then it should work when you double click on it.

Is the client software the same as the desktop software ?  You could try

Menu
Begin typing 'Package Manager'
When you see the Package Manager app offered click it
Enter your password

This should open 'Synaptic Package Manager'
Type 'nextcloud' into the Quick Filter box
Scroll down to 'nextcloud-destop'
Highlight it, read the description to see if this is what you want.

If correct, select the checkbox in the 'S' column and choose 'Mark for Installation'
Check the list of additional packages and if ok click 'Mark'

Then click the 'Apply' cog and follow the instructions.

Title. I do not know how to do it. I tried it through  appImage, and nothing happens. The command line option seems to be complex to a linux noob like me.  Someone can show a path that it is not difficult to a 5 y.o. child ? Thanks for the attention.
