Coincidentally, I had tried the Falkon web-browser a few days earlier with a non-LL setup  :)
Yes, very impressed - a bit like its predecessor qupzilla - a snappy/responsive lightweight browser that works well on a single-core Intel Atom netbook.

The only snag is that it appears to have a limited choice of extensions, though it does come with an adblocker, but as far as I can see it is the only adblocker available for this browser, unless anyone knows otherwise. To make the browser more secure, you might want to use /etc/hosts in your file system to block unwanted webites
64bit OS (32-bit on Samsung netbook) installed in Legacy mode on MBR-formatted SSDs (except pi which uses a micro SDHC card):
2017 - Raspberry pi 3B (4cores) ~ [email protected] - LibreElec, used for upgrading our Samsung TV (excellent for the task)
2012 - Lenovo G580 2689 (2cores; 4threads] ~ [email protected] - LL3.8/Win8.1 dual-boot (LL working smoothly)
2011 - Samsung NP-N145 Plus (1core; 2threads) ~ Intel Atom [email protected] - LL 3.8 32-bit (64-bit too 'laggy')
2008 - Asus X71Q (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6/Win8.1 dual-boot, LL works fine with kernel 4.15
2007 - Dell Latitude D630 (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6, works well with kernel 4.4; 4.15 doesn't work

I tried to install 'Falkon 3.1 x64' on a Windows10 virtual machine. The installation setup seemed weird, as once having hit the go procedure, the installer informed me the process is already running and whether I would wish to interrupt it. Having checked for negative, it took it as positive and interrupted the process. On another try, having checked for positive, the installer has proceeded with the install, but then, the browser did eventually fail to run, under the premise of something wrong with a .DLL file.

If you use the nightly flatpak instructions to install it seems to work:

Code: [Select]
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists kdeapps --from https://distribute.kde.org/kdeapps.flatpakrepo
flatpak install kdeapps org.kde.falkon
flatpak run org.kde.falkon

Hello,

I am using LinuxLite 4.4 64 bits and Falkon 3.0.1.
I saw Faklon 3.1 is now available ont the falkon.org site.
But using Synaptic, only Falkon 3.0.0 is listed.
I also try to install Falkon Appimage 3.0.1 but it doesn't work (other users have the same problem using Debian or Ubuntu distros).

How to solve this problem ?

Thanks in advance for your ideas and help.
