Post by: XpRefugee on November 16, 2015, 03:29:37 PM
Tried to install google chrome as I really enjoy the voice search on my windows machine Says it installed using the "Lite Software" installation tool ( I have installed it other ways too then un-istalled it same problem though)
Code: [Select]
zv6005us@Pavilion-ZV6005US:~$ google-chrome
Illegal instruction

I should mention that if the voice search is not offered in the linux version I am perfectly happy with f fox.

Try Chromium from Lite Software. See if it does the same thing. You have the SSE2 flag so we can rule that out as a common issue.

I can't find any additional info on this. Might pay to file a new bug report here - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/

You're welcome :) That link I gave you, on the far right click on 'Report a bug' and go from there. It should be fairly intuitive.
