Hello, I installed GoldenDict on Linux Lite 2.8
I can start GoldenDict, but when I do a search, the search field changes to orange, and I get the following message:
Failure in search order: XML parse error: unexpected end of file at 1,1
Is there anybody who know how to get GoldenDict at work without any failure.

@bhishma,
First try:
Menu > Favourites > Install Updates
then in the terminal:
sudo apt-get install goldendict
-
@ tukkie,
First try:
Menu > Favourites > Install Updates
if i'll try in the terminal:
sudo apt-get update
will be it the same?
i guess, yes.
btw, i was trying to update the system by this way.
and very often i get the message:
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Yes,
Wasn't sure how familiar you are with terminal commands...
-
looks like you dont have installed the package ppa:
search google for ppa goldenDict and howto insert new ppa in help manual
-
Fortunately a PPA is not required, goldendict is in the Universe repo which we have enabled. He may also need the Updates fix.
