Dear Jerry,
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I'll try to do so. However, I didn't compile full X11R6 because of some mistakes - perhaps I should use gcc 3.3; I read also in the readme files, that
X11R6 is ment to operate in main directories: /usr/X11R6, so if only code is compiled I'll try guest LinuxLite with X11R6.
Thank you very much,
Jerzy

Hi to all,
The question is: is it possible to have X11 with all libs and tools under Linux Lite.
I need to install a program, which demands such things like OSF.Motif commands, Locale, libraries, etc.
My little comp started with Linux Lite and I like it so much that expanded it with all accessible software for some functionalities from deb sources.
I have not  found X11R6 in the available binaries in the sources.
So perhaps it should be compiled from source, and installed in some place like /usr/local.
Has anyone tried, succeeded or failed, or has any idea on the topic or experience how to have full X11R6 in Linux Lite?
Asking for you help,
Jerzy
