Title: dpkg problem installing software
Post by: Nebrit on August 12, 2019, 04:24:59 PM
Sorry, I'm new to Linux Lite (and not an experienced Linux user anyway), so my question may be trivial.
I installed the system (4.4) and initially had no problems installing software. Today, however, I tried to add some more soft, and I got the following reaction:
dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

Both Lie Software and system--> Install/Remove Software yielded the same result.

So what should I do? Run this command in the terminal window? Should I register as root for this purpose (if yes, how to do it?)

Sorry< looks like I understood what to do, and the problem is fixed (for now).
