You can do it via locales but that is to long winded and may screw up existing menu entries. Get this plugin here - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/super-date-format/

After you've installed it go to Edit, Preferences in Thunderbird. Click on Display, then the Date Format tab. Copy in the following string:

Code: [Select]
%d/%m/%Y   %I:%M %p
into the Date Format box.

Then go to the Date Format Preferences tab and tick the 2 boxes there.

You may have to restart Thunderbird to see the new date time format.

Hello!

So, do you want it to appear as dd/mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy? Usually, mail clients let you specify which way you want it to be in Preferences...

Help Please :(

Have clock on desktop showing dd/mm/yyyy and time 24hrs bottom right hand side screen, Task Bar ?

However saved mail record on Thunderbird has mm/dd/yyyy.  On Thunderbird Help it states that TB takes time from the PC's clock

What have i done wrong.  Is there any way I can change this? Don't want to have to reinstall.

Thanks.
