Anyone get Android to run in a VM?

I used 64bit, 10GB space, 2GB memory, from the ported link in your post.

It booted fine needed detachment from the iso so it used the machine image.
It completed full install I checked gmail and so on using it.

On the link I left for the Android Studio for Linux, this has a full Android emulator in it, if it is useful to try.

I had issues with Remix OS not being able to get it past its logo screen, and just like you are describing.

32 bit, 2 GB memory.

4.4 and 5.1 boot to the point of a kernel panic (not sure what the problem is here at the moment), 6.0 I did actually get to boot up to the initial language selection screen, not having the time to go any further I assumed the VM could be recreated when needed (not thinking to note the settings), haven't been able to boot the image since (freezes on logo) for some reason.

The purpose was software for which there is not a legal Linux alternative, namely https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/installing-software/illegal-addon/.  Windows 8.1 OEM product keys are actually not that expensive as another option, Android apps seem to be standard though nowadays even for desktop applications.

yes I tried just now and can get it to run without any issues.

There are several steps missing from his tutorial, but I managed to get lucky in working that out for myself, and there is no ext3 option in the menus only ext4 which is what I used. Maybe the tutorial can need tweaks of more currently updating, but it was still very useful for me.

I used the x86 64 Bit iso download by Chih-Wei Huang directly, to make the VM, using the instruction set from the LL Help Manual, as it's fairly new for me still to use VB so I always checking the instructions to be sure.

I had tried Remix OS a few weeks or more ago and could not get it to boot past its logo screen at all.
